After closing the Sahara, the resort was rebranded as SLS in 2014—only to close and reopen as Sahara, again, in 2019. In the SLS days, the casino took a similar approach as Cosmopolitan—fun, young, cheeky, chic—but it didn’t work out for them in the end, and a lot of that has to do with their isolated location. They had some fun, graphic, graffiti-esque carpeting, along with some interesting art and light installations. Their licensed slots were usually pretty good at paying out.
