The biggest tragedy of the Westgate is obviously the removal of Star Trek: The Experience—a Next Generation-themed casino/bar/gift shop. The carpet was there for a while; its jewel-toned, contrasting geometric wave pattern would look perfect on the decks of The Enterprise. It’s since been replaced by a mottled grey pattern when it was fully converted to a timeshare preview center.

This was also the filming location of the Roseanne Vegas episodes (as Las Vegas Hilton). The regular casino carpet is a more traditional collage of gold flourishes on a monochromatic blue patterned background, and the convention center showcases a more classically refined, articulated version of the style.
