One of the older casinos on The Strip, it was opened as Holiday Casino, and it was in the shape of a steamboat. When Harrah’s took over, a Mardi Gras theme was installed which has since been removed little by little culminating in a purple makeover completed in 2021. Both new and old carpeting is heavy with purple, and abstract geometric circles and radials. Oh—and the casino roof caves in when it rains.
