Massive casino complex featuring six hotel towers (including Nobu Hotel), two distinct gaming areas, and The Forum Shops—where the original location of Spago was (just down from Versace). The $20 trick worked when we stayed (in 2017), and we were upgraded to a suite!
The carpeting in the hotel towers is a more contemporary take on the Roman symbolism used throughout the casino—mainly the Greek key (or meander), which symbolizes unity and infinity; and the laurel leaves/wreaths which symbolize victory. The new suite of carpeting designs installed in 2024 are leaning more into the red accent colour; and many of the designs take cues from architectural elements found in the new lounges (like chandeliers) and from design elements found in older carpet designs.
The recently remodeled Nobu Hotel takes design cues from kintsugi: using the style throughout the new lobby carpeting (where the effect is enchanced by the relief stitching around each carpet segment); as well as the beautiful, luxurious hotel suites.
