John-Ryan Griggs

Creative Director

Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, John-Ryan began his work in theatre in 2012 with Chad in Chicago after successfully funding the initial run of Showgirls in 2012. Shortly after the curtain closed on Nomi in the windy city, John-Ryan hitched a ride to Portland from a guy named Jeff in a blue pickup. Most recently, he packed The Headwaters Theatre with his collaborative stage effort "Masters of the Musical Universe", a musical interpretation of the "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" and "She-Ra: Princess of Power" cartoons. John-Ryan also recently co-founder an independent record label, Vibe On Records.

Chad Comer

Producer / Director

Chad is so excited to be back in Portland preaching the gospel that is "Showgirls the Musical" with John-Ryan. He works coordinating events for “the man” but is thankful that Showgirls is once again helping him shift his talents to things he actually gives a damn about. In addition to expert planning skills, Chad brings titanic musical knowledge to this project, as well as an affinity for things of questionable taste. After two stellar runs in Chicago & Portland he is very excited to come back and put a brand new set of nails on this classic for a whole new generation of Nomi-loving people! Kellee June Korpi

Nomi Malone

Kellee June Korpi came to Oregon after escaping the harsh frigid tundra of Alaska, she studied acting at the Sanford Meisner Studio with Alex Taylor, and honed her singing skills on karaoke floors all across the United States. You may have seen her rocking and/or rolling as Teela in "Masters of the Musical Universe" and at Cyrano’s Playhouse as Cassandra Shapely in "Jihad Jones and the Kalashnikov Babes". She is jazzed to get her thrust on for "Showgirls the Musical".

Melissa Hanson

Cristal Connors

A Portland-based performer, Melissa has well over a decade of experience performing in a variety of dance styles. She has danced in various shows throughout the Northwest, as well as having appeared in Edinburg’s Fringe Festival with the contemporary group Pivot Dance in August of 2007. Most recently, she has performed with “Ooh La La: the New Burlesque”, directed by Maria Kroll, “Showgirls the Musical (2014)” presented by A Touch Too Much, and “Masters of the Musical Universe”, presented by John-Ryan & Meghann. Melissa is thrilled to return to the stage in “Showgirls the Musical” with an expanded role as Cristal Connors: dancing her way onto the Stardust marquee, however short-lived Cristal’s stardom may be.

Mila Boyd

Molly

Mila is a UO grad, faithful Duck fan, and she loves living and performing in the Portland/Vancouver area. Mila was last seen in "Spamalot" as Lady of the Lake, which is one of her all-time favorite roles. Other favorite roles have been in "Rocky Horror Show", "Rent", "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", and "The Secret Garden". Staples include some lawyering, running, hiking, and overall outdoor enthusiasm, adoration and admiration for husband, Christopher, and a love for wine and her two fluff-balled cats. Mila is psyched to rock some Versayse and be part of the glitzy Showgirls phenomenon!

Neil London

Zack

A recent transplant to Portland, Neil joins the cast of "Showgirls the Musical" having recently performed in "Peter Pan", "Spamalot" and "Evil Dead: The Musical". Neil studied film and Video Production at The Art Institute of Portland, and currently works as a media director, while continuing his passion, acting, on the side.

Alex McCracken

Marty

Alex McCracken is an actor living in Portland. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Alex grew up doing musical theatre from a very young age. Alex moved to Portland in 2011 to attend Reed College, and has been consistently involved in local film and stage projects since graduating last Spring, including several web series and the He-Man musical "Masters of the Musical Universe" at the Headwaters Theatre. Alex wrapped shooting on their first feature film in January, and most recently appeared in Faultline Ensemble's "Holding onto the Sky," a show about community and loss in post-earthquake Portland.

Alison Barrett

Alison grew up in Plymouth, Massachusetts very close to the Plymouth Rock. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Theater at Manhattanville College in New York. She sings and plays the keys in Portland's Wanna-Be 52's band and works with Karaoke From Hell helping people sing karaoke with a live band. Alison enjoys camping, cooking, and song-writing. Her love of pop music began with Michael Jackson and she has the magical ability to never get sick of any song. Alison is happy to be acting and dancing again and to be bringing the silly, scary, and sparkly world of "Showgirls the Musical" to life for Portland audiences.

James Bretschneider

Tony Moss

After a 15 year hiatus, James Bretschneider is proud to return to the stage in "Showgirls the Musical". You may recognize him from his long-standing role as a marketing professional in Seattle. No longer able to recognize himself in that role, James opted for a change of scenery and recently relocated to Portland. These days, he can be found happily lost on trail runs and getting yelled at by attendants for trying to pump his own gas. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, James has a BA in drama from the University of Washington.

John Branch

Andrew Carver

John is thrilled to be reprising his role as the very handsome yet devilishly sexy rocker Andrew Carver. To get into character, he's been snorting baking soda cut with Fruity Pebbles and has been making several awkward advances to miscellaneous women, which usually ends with a drink or fist thrown in his face. He also does other acting stuff too, as well. Thanks for coming and enjoy the show and....ummm... What are you doing afterwards? Wanna get a drink?

Geoff Wishart

A Portland native, Geoff started dancing on the high school dance team for three years. He was the first man to ever make Dance Team All-State his senior year. After studying dance at University of Oregon, and Body and Soul, he went on to dance on Carnival Cruise Lines, doing three full length Vegas style shows and being a magician’s assistant. Locally, Geoff has taught at Studio One Dance Academy and currently coaches David Douglas High School dance team. Coming from a family of welders, Geoff jokes that his life mirrors Flashdance.

Hayley Renée Miller

Annie

Raised in Northern Virginia, Hayley grew up as a full time acrobat and cheerleader, competing in numerous regional, national and world competitions. While attending college at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, she was introduced to the art of Pilates, laying down the path to recently finishing her 200 hour as an RYT through Hot Yoga for Life in Portland. In addition to her rhythmic background, she also has built a career in Makeup Artistry, working for brands like MAC and Trish McEvoy as well as assisting on film and commercial work.
