MAIN STREET STATION

back arrowDOWNTOWN

OPENED 1978

The beautiful Victorian-themed woodwork and stained glass makes Main Street Station feel more like main street in Disneyland. Along with an inhouse brewery (beers are $2 at the Boar's Head casino bar!), this casino also uses $1 tokens instead of TITO at a few slots and video poker machines. AND—there’s a piece of the Berlin Wall to piss on in the men’s room.

The new casino carpeting—installed in 2024—does a poor job at referencing any kind of Victorian theme. Its large and small paisleys are a common element used in mostly older-generations of carpeting design. The one thing it does have going for it is a good colour palette that feels right in the space.

The last-generation main floor casino carpeting uses a restrained brown-green-purple palette, but the design feels like it could have been a little more complex (it’s just a bunch of vines and the occasional tiny flower). The second floor carpeting is a simple, scribble version of the vines from the first floor. The lovely Garden Court buffet carpeting, on the other hand, is a sophistocated graphic floral style that could almost look at home in the Wynn.
